Windows Server 2008 as a Super Charged Desktop OS

Windows Server 2008 Box Shot

Apparently it’s Microsoft Friday around here… anyway Laurence Hartje sent in a link (via Neowin) to Vijayshinva Karnure’s Blog where he describes exactly how to use Windows Server 2008 as a “SUPER workstation OS” by adjusting services, themes, etc.

The big appeal seems to be that Server 2008 is a much more stable core and overall operating system than Vista along with support for Hyper-V virtualization technology that Vista Ultimate did not ship with.

The guide is a quick read, nothing too long, just turning On/Off the appropriate things to make sure the Server OS runs as a Workstation OS should.
