Given the number of comments on the other post about the Wii version of Rock Band 2 I suspect that many of you reading this are like most Wii owners that were hoping that that when Rock Band 2 finally released for the Wii it would have the same features as the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions. However, the Wii version released without the Marketplace to download additional songs. Fortunately the Wii version will be getting DLC soon. Harmonix announced this week it would be coming early in 2009.
The downloadable content is in the final testing stages and Harmonix is working as fast as possible to deliver the 20 free bonus songs for Rock Band 2, plus an additional 30 songs from the Rock Band DLC Catalog to fans as early in 2009 as possible.
So, no set date yet, but Harmonix is generally good about keeping their word and I expect everyone will be getting DLC on their Wiis before spring arrives.
