At the end of January I ordered a nice shiny Lenovo Ideapad S10e from Buy.com. I managed to get a decent price that didn’t hurt the pocketbook, and it was a new toy that I could endlessly experiment with. I started to install a wide variety of operating systems to check for support and to [...]

I currently have a Lenovo ThinkPad T60 — I got it a little over 2 years ago and have loved it. Lenovo support, while crumby at first, really came through the other time I needed them — calling to schedule a repair on a Saturday morning in order to get my repaired laptop back to [...]

You saw the envelope-stuffing ad from Apple right? “Na na naaa na na, na na naaa na na…” you know, the one that makes you feel like a douce-bag for owning a laptop that has a DVD drive in it? Yep, that’s the one.
Brian Fernandes sent along a great mock video that gives a friendly [...]

I was looking around the web at some laptop’s from different manufacturers and while some are so clearly laid out from lowest to highest (Apple) others seemed to be named in a completely random fashion, making it impossible to tell a damn difference between them without seeing a side-by-side comparison matrix (Lenovo, Samsung).
Are these companies [...]

I currently have a MacBook Pro, and besides technically being a great laptop, the battery life (in my opinion) is really bad, around 2.5hrs. I talk to other mobile friends and aparently this is the norm. Norm or not, I don’t consider a computer “mobile” until I can take it somewhere and use it for [...]
