Finding and Removing Hidden WordPress Hacks
by Riyad Kalla on 31. May, 2010 in Technology
I’ve run a handful of WordPress sites over the last 4 years and half of them have gotten hacked at one time or another. The hacks were always of the “Put a hidden IFRAME in the WordPress page/theme files” type that end up hosting/serving spyware/malware from my sites. This inevitably leads to the black-listing by [...]
Digg is Gamed by Retardation
by Riyad Kalla on 02. Mar, 2010 in Technology
Digg is an entertaining site, much like reading The Superficial is. I don’t turn to Digg for real news or hot topics unless I feel in the mood to pour through a 10:1 ratio of stupid shit to real honest to god interesting content.
Today I saw the “Top in All” list above and thought “Oh [...]

I’ve read recently that some 60% of sites on the net are infected with a very subtle/rarely-reproducible redirection hack that sends the user off to some site that presents them with malware in 1 way or another.
I was just doing some of my Christmas shopping on Amazon.com, was in the Office Supplies section and literally [...]

by Riyad Kalla on 30. Jan, 2009 in Technology
Luke Hutchinson recently blogged about the steps required to get a hacked implementation of multi-touch on your T-Mobile G1. The result is some OK mutli-touch, but not yet on par with the likes of the iPhone:
The process isn’t for the weak of heart, as it requires reflashing your G1’s firmware with a modified one (which [...]
