So I just got an 16GB iPhone (generous courtesy of SmugMug) and besides it basically being dead-sexy and giving me “Oh… goddamn that’s nice” moments about once an hour when it comes to UI polish, I did notice it randomly vibrated or beeped for about 1/2 of a second randomly throughout the day.
I hit up Google and sure enough, found this thread and this thread.
Thankfully the second thread had 2 users that were in the know and gave a heads up to check the Mail automatic check settings… sure enough the Automatic Mail Checking not only checks/retrieves the mail, it also gives a quick notification (vibrate/sound) if there was mail.
I flipped that puppy off and viola… no more random buzzes!
