Simple Java XML Parser (SJXP) 2.0 Released

I am proud to scream from the top of my desk, directly at my closet, that Simple Java XML Parser (SJXP) 2.0 has just been released.

The 2.0 release brings a huge performance boost over the 1.x series that decreases memory and CPU usage by an order of magnitude.

Additionally, user object pass-through support was added and a new rule type “TAG” was added when you want to be notified only of START or END tag encounters but don’t want additional details out from the underlying XML.

Simple Java XML Parser (SJXP) works on any Java platform, including Android. On Android it is even easier to use because there are no dependencies; the Android platform already provides an XML Pull Parser.

On any other Java platform simply include the bundled xpp3 JAR with the SJXP JAR and you are off to the races!

Head over to the SJXP page for examples, benchmarks, download links, source code and Javadoc.

Parsing XML from Java can be fast as hell and easy, that is the goal of the SJXP project.
