Paramount and DreamWorks Choose HD-DVD

Ted Regulski sends in the news that Paramount and DreamWorks hate us and have decided to support HD-DVD and prolong this campaign of retardation that is the HD-disc battle.

Update #1: This shouldn’t come as a surprise to many, but the NY Times has confirmed that Paramount received a $150 million payout to choose HD-DVD exclusively for 18 months for their releases.

    Aren’t HD-DVDs cheaper than Blue-ray discs?

    About the same, depends on contents (example using 300, but hd-dvd comes with lots of addons)

    Currently the HD-DVD players are cheaper though, so that’s their big win.
