Ok… I don’t blog about food, but I love it. And this is not a food blog… but jesus christ, my wife got a recipe for chocolate cake from my neighbor the other day and made it tonight, and when I took a bite I knew I had to blog this recipe.
Think of an insanely dense, moist, soft chocolatey chocolate cake, and that’s what this is. Mix with a light frosting and some ice cream and you should prepare yourself for either pure ecstasy or Type 2 diabetes:
The Devil Made Me Bake It Chocolate Cake
1 pkg Duncan Hines pudding in the mix Devils food cake mix (Or Super Moist)
1 pkg double size fudge or chocolate instant pudding
1 pint Hagen Daaz chocolate ice cream, softened
1 cup sour cream
Â½ c oil
1 120z pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
powdered sugar (sprinkle on top of finished cake)
Mix all ingredients except chips on high for 4 minutes. Fold in chocolate chips. Use lightly greased and floured bunt pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool for 30 minutes, invert and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
